Gadget Punk Character Concept

Gadget Punk is the scrappy little robot who is the star of his own rogue-like sidescrolling adventure game!

Design inspiration came from small scraps and tools you can find around a mechanic's shop or in a toolbox.

Merry Christmas Bear!

Christmas in the eyes of a child.     20" x 16"     Oil on Canvas

This year I was asked to create and donate a painting for a local charity event called The Festival of Trees. The event is run by the Mercy Foundation, and volunteers team up and put together a 'Tree' package that follows a theme; people then bid on the package and the money raised goes towards helping children in need. The theme of the 'Tree' my painting will be with is "Christmas through a child's eyes" or something along those lines.

Concept Piece for printing

So we had to make something 2'x3' to be printed.

I decided to draw my Nomad character on his giant lizard mount. The focus is really the lizard, because I find creature design a lot more fun for some reason.

Gilgamesh Illustration

This is another card illustration, this time it's Gilgamesh the King. So I'm approaching this painting by blocking in some solid tones for value and shape. It's a pretty simple composition of him in a majestic pose with mountains in the back.

Underworld Update

Another update on my underworld painting. Pushing the contrast and playing with color/light.

I think I'm gonna step away from this image for a while and work on my others.

Got something done... almost

The Underworld
This illustration is for my card game. It's finally tightening up, but there is something still missing. I might need to push the contrast more on some parts and I feel like I need to add some more content, like zombies or spirits. However I don't want it to feel too cluttered.

Underworld

For my card game project I'm working on at the moment.

I'm liking the angle of the shot and the atmosphere. I'm thinking of adding some dead grass and some zombies wandering around, maybe some bats flying overhead. Since this is the underworld and it goes on forever-like, I don't really have to worry about what's in the distance.

A fresh start

I decided to wipe my blog clean as it has been a while since I posted. I figured I would clean it up and start posting again.

The image is a start to an illustration for the headless horseman, I started it for Halloween but got caught up in other things and didn't finish.
